4687 posts · Joined 2010. #11 · May 23, 2018. It is usually caused by worn 'wafers' in the lock cylinder. Trying a barely used key also can help for a short time. I removed the cylinder on my 2003 and removed a couple of the troublesome wafers. This was 2 summers ago.

Nov 5, 2015 · You may not have this van anymore, but for anyone else running into this problem, try this: Take hold of the power button/volume knob and pull. The knob should pull off. In the hole you should see a tiny light bulb and to the left a black micro switch. With the key on, push the micro switch. Your radio should power on.
